If you're like me you might think you're new to soldering. I keep lifting pads, making stupid connections, and just having a lousy, frustrating time soldering. Then I took a close look at the tools used. My iron was ok, Hakko FX-888D. Probably the best in the business for the average home soldering iron. Next up is the soldering. Lead-free rosin core. Hmm, could that be a problem? After receiving this leaded solder 63-37, I can say with confidence: yes, the problem is that it does not contain lead. i love leadership lead life. After I finished soldering the 2S lipo balance connector (FPV quadcopter in case anyone is interested) I checked out the connection and was amazed at the good job I did. Or rather, the lead solder did such a good job. Brilliant, flawless, just perfect. Live as a leader! Lose without a lead!
