We were forced to buy this unit when we switched credit card providers on November 28, 2016. - $816.00) we went ahead and bought for $336.00. Previous machines never had mechanical problems so we thought we saved money. NOT CORRECT! Today this machine has decided to stop printing paper receipts. I called and spoke to a very good specialist who didn't know anything. We went through the troubleshooting checklist (I did it for myself before the call) and he just didn't know what to do. After that fruitless call, I went to the computer and found the technical manual for the machine. One look at a photo of an open paper door and I realized a tiny gear on the paper roll had fallen off and as soon as I pushed it back - like magic - it worked. I described the technique of a bare bar at the end of the roller, but he didn't understand anything and thought that a new car was needed. I can't believe the design that allowed this tiny cog to come loose. Our old machine has never had a problem in ten years and was only replaced due to a change in handling. They don't want you to fix your car, they just insist on buying a new one. Never again for me with this brand!
