I'm honestly shocked at how good these gloves are! I took a chance because they are under $10 but so far they have been fantastic. I can take logs that glow red and move them quickly with no problem. Well there is a limit to the time you can keep your hand on the fire or hold anything hot - I wouldn't extend it past 20 seconds and I learned the hard way how to use an iron pot that was on the grabbed and held table. . Fire. After 20-30 seconds it really started to heat up - almost uncomfortable. But for quickly starting a fire or moving a burning log, these things are worth every penny! The leather is of good quality and the cotton lining is soft and VERY comfortable. Don't expect much dexterity as they're quite thick, but that's how they should be!
