This is the perfect dashboard kit for you if you like to disassemble the whole car to make sure the dashboard kit manufacturer didn't bother to test it in the car they say it fits. I can't give a lower rating as I would give half a star if I could. It actually deserves 1/10 percent of a star. Waste plastic, someone should fine you for wasting resources and cheating. When MECP (Mobile Electronics Certification Program) first issued the Master Installer Certification, I was the 26th certified installer. This is NOT my first install and although I haven't installed anything in a while I think I can put together a 3 piece dash kit properly. The fit and finish of the dash kit looks good, but that's about it. The dash is too wide, you'll either have to trim the dash or a leather-wrapped dash (guess which one I'd go for!). Also, the mounting tabs don't line up properly with the screw holes in the dash, which to be honest is a terrible mistake and a huge disappointment. I've been waiting for the past few weeks to spend the Friday before Memorial Day taking my CLK 350 apart and bypassing the factory amp, installing a new amp, and installing a head unit that fits in the car. Instead, I now have a car with a giant gaping hole in the dash that I can't fit the radio in because of the $11 part. Thanks for ruining my weekend scosche! No Mercedes Benz was harmed in this attempted installation and it is clear that Scosche did not use a genuine Mercedes Benz in the development of this dashboard kit. Now I know why I've always used Metra. As an update, I disassembled some of my old tools and "kinda" got the dashboard working. The sides had to be sanded heavily. The mounting points had to be cut from below and drilled from above. The sides of the radio had to be re-drilled to pull the radio out a bit. The dash kit is not for the inexperienced and was in no way designed for the CLK, and the fact that Scochet would like to tell people this is the right dash kit is a disservice. In fact, the whole set turned into a chic decorative ring as it required major modifications to make it fit. I'm still unhappy with Scosche after that disaster, but I got it working.
