After ordering this for my niece I knew it was the one for me! And much cheaper than adult gear. So, yes, I am wearing a large women's raincoat. For reference, I'm 5'5, 32" tall and weigh 115 pounds. When it comes to women's clothing, I usually wear a size XS or S. The only place it fits me is under the armpits. I love how thin this jacket is. We camp and hike a lot and live in Southern California. Universal layers are key. This is ideal for a base layer or fleece. When folded, it takes up very little space. I put it in a Ziploc quarter for travel. If you are looking for a warm raincoat this is not for you. It just keeps you dry which is great. It's also comparable in quality to Columbia's adult line, which is nice - they save so much on kids stuff. Recommended for children or young adults.
