Having owned several RODE microphones over the years, I appreciate that RODE has pioneered the manufacture of microphones that home studio enthusiasts can afford while still offering quality products that are still popular in Australia and not made in Australia. a dozen with a dozen microphone factories in the Far East. A great value at $200 a pair, the M5 sounds very neutral, slightly warm, without the piercing highs that are evident in many budget mics. I mainly use them for stereo acoustic guitar and they sound phenomenal! Very crisp and detailed, doesn't require too much mic preamp gain and delivers a very honest and clear representation of the source. Guaranteed by RODE, you can rest assured that the company stands behind their product. Bye Theo
