Tommy Hilfiger denim dress for girls: a stylish piece with a few flaws

I bought a Tommy Hilfiger girls denim dress in mid blue size 8-10 for my daughter and here's what I think of it. Firstly, the dress looks very charming and stylish. The denim material is of good quality and feels durable, perfect for active girls who love to play and run. The dress also has nice details like a red, white and blue band around the waist, contrast stitching and a Tommy Hilfiger logo on the front pocket. My daughter got lots of compliments wearing it to school. However, the fit of the dress is a bit off. It runs small, especially around the chest. My daughter is thin and not too tall for her age but the dress was too tight on her breasts and felt uncomfortable. Also, the length of the dress is shorter than I expected. It falls to just above the knees and rises when she raises her arms, revealing shorts or leggings. This prevents her from moving freely, which defeats the purpose of the dress, which should be comfortable and practical. Another issue I have with this dress is that it creases easily. After washing I had to iron it to make it smooth but even after my daughter wore it for several hours it was wrinkled again. This makes it difficult to get the neat and polished look I wanted for them. Overall, I think the Tommy Hilfiger denim dress for girls is a cute and trendy outfit, but it has some flaws that keep it from being perfect. I give it 3 stars out of 5. If you do decide to buy it, I recommend sizing it down and be ready to do a little ironing.

Pros
  • granddaughter loves it.
Cons
  • Denim material can be uncomfortable or restrictive for some children.
