Sometimes I don't dry it, but stretch it out to its full length while damp and hang to dry. Only sometimes. We have bought it twice, in two different sizes, since my daughter has grown. I would buy them again and she will continue to wear them. My youngest is now wearing the smallest one we have and she still looks great.
