Review on ๐Ÿ Organic Melt & Pour Soap Base - 2 Pound Goats Milk Glycerin by Morgan Gilmore

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Beautiful, silky, moisturizing, non-greasy soap base

This soap is fantastic. Cleans, leaves no film, residue, sticky or squeaky feel, not greasy or greasy. It rinses off well, but leaves skin soft and silky, not waxy or balmy. This is what clean skin should feel like. Nice. And I'm profitable with my soap. It melts very easily in the microwave to make your own essential oil soap (a minute and a half at 1000 watts liquefies almost a pound) and sets like a dream in silicone molds. Comes out clean with no stains. (I leave mine on the kitchen counter overnight, so I don't know how long it takes for it to set.) Once the bars have cooled, the scent of the essential oils will actually linger in the soap. I let the bars dry (read: harden a little) for two weeks so they last longer - the soap is soft enough to cut straight out of the bag with a sufficiently sharp knife, so the hardening time is important to the lifespan of the Soap. Bar. If you can melt the butter in a measuring cup, give it a little stir, and then pour it into a smaller container, you can use it to make soap (or conditioner!) at home. INCREDIBLY easy. I'm giving it four stars instead of five because it smells a bit "goaty" when heating the base. Not so much to put me off buying or using it as a hair cleanser, but to make it noticeable. All goat milk products I have ever used have this problem as well. Nobody is to blame but the goat. If they ate a little more young grass on the day of milking, their contribution will give you a sharper soap. This is a NATURAL PRODUCT that changes naturally. But it might bother some people.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Unbelievable price
