Review on 🚣 Optimized Anchor Trolley for Kayaks - YakAttack Kayak LeverLoc HD by Alvaro Delic

I know a lot of people are frustrated with replacing Harken reels with YakAttack Stealth reels, but I have Harken stainless steel reels on my old kayak's anchor trolley and there is little difference in performance . If I had to choose, I would say the YakAttack Stealth pulleys are smoother. So I can say that I like this anchor wagon very much. My kayak (Perception Striker 11.5) came with what Perception ridiculously calls an "anchor cart," but it's awful. It is literally made from very poor quality lines with four round grommets that are simply not designed for use with an anchor carriage (they are made for use with a rudder release system). There were no roles at all. The bottom line was always raised over the top of the kayak when used and as they used round grommets instead of rollers it was very difficult to move the bogie ring towards the bow/stern. It's just completely useless. So I had to drill out the rivets and replace the YakAttack LeverLoc HD trolley as best I could. I ended up having to put a few rivets back in to patch holes that I couldn't use or cover with a new dolly, but it turned out great. Having good access to the inside of my kayak (thankfully) allowed me to do most of the installation with nuts and bolts, and I used YakAttack Rigging Bullets to install the stern roller. The only exception was one of the eyelet hooks (had to use rivets) but they have the least strain so it's fine. I ended up only using two of the four eye hooks (due to the holes present and the placement/spacing) but it still came out perfectly spaced. One thing I did was replace the included dolly cable. YakAttack should probably prefer plain black instead of a rather garish color combination of black and bright orange. I purchased a custom color of 600lb Tear Paracord that goes perfectly with my green camo kayak. I see no reason a trolleybus anchor line should have fluorescent bright orange stripes. Doesn't seem like it will help my kayak be seen on the water or help me see my anchor carriage better when using it in the kayak etc. (haha) The custom green color looks amazing! I will probably replace the bogie (with Harken stainless steel casters) on my other kayak with this as well.
