Usually works right after installation. How to fix TX LED not working

This product has all the hallmarks of a Chinese counterfeit. However, it works (mostly or entirely with some manual work). The green LED for the transmission indicator (TX) barely worked out of the box, as others have reported. It's not necessary to fix the problem, but it's nice to have a visual indication that the device is working, rather than just relying on feedback from a reprogrammed car. If you have basic electronics repair skills and a soldering iron, you can get it up and running properly in about 15 minutes. How I fixed my non-working TX LED: - Remove the outer orange case. Remove the battery cover and battery if installed. Remove 6 screws on the back of the case (two are under the battery cover). Carefully remove the circuit board from the case. The Boundary Wires are thin copper wires and can be damaged if care is not taken during disassembly. - Look at the two tabs on the battery connector. They are marked with (-) and (+) on the circuit board. Near the battery's negative terminal is a surface mount resistor with "R213" printed on its board. Do an internet search for "Surface Mount Resistance" if you're not sure what you're looking for. There is a "0" on the SMD resistor itself (printed very small, maybe enlarge it if visibility is poor) - heat the solder on both sides of this SMD resistor with a soldering iron. It should only take a second or two. I didn't need to add solder and wouldn't do it as there are other connections very close to the resistor and I don't want to accidentally create a short. Check that the green LED is now working before you close everything back up by holding the battery to the contacts to check. After assembly I used cardboard to line the battery compartment to keep the battery in place nice and tight. This is how I was able to fix the non-working TX LED on the device I received. This is most likely the same issue for all other devices experiencing this issue, however your issue might be different. After troubleshooting and repairing my device, it works as intended. I didn't go through the relearn process until after my device was repaired, but I could probably do without the TX LED feature. Hope this helps others who may be facing the same issue.
