I can only assume that the great reviews are only for half the bottle cap.
The problem with this seemingly simple device is not in the bottle cap half, but in the glass piercer (Is that a word? It is now.) As you can see in the picture, the hook is almost 90 away from the handle. This means that after you can only grip jars with a strong o-ring, the hole you get will have a very small area and will not reach the rim of the jar (see other picture). To the tool's credit, I was completely unable to bend the tip to make it more useful. So there's a reason the product image is right over your head. because if you don't, you may find that Puncture™ is useless.
