. If you would like to read my PH1400 or PSA1000 reviews, you can find them on the respective product pages. My experience with EGO equipment started when I bought a lawnmower kit (with battery and charger). I have since bought a blower, PH1400, PSA1000 and this item. The cost of batteries is so prohibitive that I use my 5Ah battery almost everywhere and it's enough to stay in the same product family. My previous experiences with my Black and Decker saw led me to look for a replacement with more stiffness than wet noodles. The EP7500 shaft is made from extruded aluminum with a flanged screw clamp. This is the same clasp used on the drive accessory. Rigid not only segment, but also joints. In terms of control and trust, it's great. Here are some things that are not so good in this subject. 1.) weight. Choosing a design that uses the PH1400 as the base for a whole family of tools (trimmer, edger, jigsaw) makes sense in terms of modularity, but the result is a system that's less efficient than it should be. The decision to use the motor in the PH1400 results in additional weight and loss of efficiency for the mechanical spline drive. In addition, installing the motor in the last link also helps distribute the weight. 2.) Wedge caps are not good and engagement marks are not good enough. This probably needs some explanation as I'm sure some owners will disagree with me. Given the cost of these products (and batteries in particular) they are not disposable. Caps and stickers are great when you first get the gear, but what about 5 years from now? Lids are what you will receive to protect the item from damage in transit. Due to the changing properties of the material over time, it can easily tear, get lost or simply no longer fit properly. Something more substantial would be nice. The stickers show the point of engagement and the driver for attaching the shaft. Everything is fine, but it's a sticker. it would be better to just etch it on aluminum.3. Price. Be that as it may, the price of the EP7500 is simply abysmal. EGO does it well. They charge seemingly reasonable prices for their tools and kill you (figuratively) with batteries and accessories. Don't get me wrong, these products are great, but you just have to keep an eye on them. Finally, I wish EGO had just made a custom pole saw. I don't think the PH1400 platform was a good choice for this particular application. The mechanical drive is definitely not optimal for the EP7500 and PSA1000. To be honest I'm surprised no one asked about using multiple built in EP7500's. Since it's a fully mechanical connection, there's no reason why you can't use multiple EP7500s together. The functional limitation is (in my opinion) the weight of the fully assembled device. This is recommended if you already have a PSA1000 and PH1400. If you don't, you should probably at least look into other sawing options.
