The dress was exactly what I needed and fit her perfectly. It ties at the back. So if you think it's a bit big, you can tighten it yourself by tying the ribbon at the back. Definitely worth the money as it was absolutely beautiful for my daughter's Christmas photos! Usually wears size 7/8 and I bought 7/8.
