I have a 7 year old Kenmore Elite dishwasher and needed to replace the top rollers. Although some dealers sell metal reel assemblies that claim to replace the original plastic reel assemblies, the Blue Star reel assemblies fit my car perfectly, not the metal reels. Replacement rollers are relatively easy to install, just look at the assembly before inserting new rollers. Blue Star items are made of thicker plastic and the casters are also more durable, but double check that the casters move freely and are not jammed (you can loosen the metal screws if necessary). To be honest the design of the Kenmore/Hot Tub is really flawed as the plastic parts just don't hold up to repeated exposure to hot water and detergent but as long as I can buy quality replacement parts I will continue to replace the top and bottom rollers as needed, until the machine emits a ghost image (as a malfunction of the main part).
