Some parts can be exchanged, others do not work

The brushes are a perfect match. Most filters were fine. The roll filter is too short. I'm not sure if there's something wrong with the roller brush or not. I replaced it and my vacuum kept saying there was something underneath. I removed the new brush and put the old one in and everything is fine. So something is causing my vacuum to get stuck.
