We bought it for our Chromebook a year ago. It's always been a bit loose and fussy about how it's connected. But today, part of the cable with a three-pin connector began to smoke, and the plastic near the transformer melted. I landed right there so I could turn it off right away. I can't imagine what would have happened if I hadn't been 2ft away and smelled smoke. I DO NOT RECOMMEND this product!
