I recently tried to buy a more expensive $450 LG Ultragear Nano IPS monitor at a local store. He had very heavy and noticeable light bleeding. I ended up trading 2 more and both had even more light spots than the first one. Tired of these problems with such an expensive monitor, I decided to try another brand. This MSI was cheaper and the very first one that arrived had no gaps at all. I like that it is actually fully gsync compatible, the nvidia control panel recognizes it as fully supported. The display itself looks fantastic. Has lots of useful on/off options and I love the flexibility it offers for tilt/height/pan. My only complaint is that there seems to be a bug with using 2 monitors with displayport and sleep/wake. Initially, on the default settings, I noticed that when my computer went to sleep, the monitor also went into semi-sleep mode, meaning its white power LED turned orange, meaning it was in sleep mode, but the panel itself did glowed. I don't want this as it increases wear and tear on the monitor to keep the backlight on 24/7. After a long search on the internet I found that people say that this is a bug that is fixed by the firmware. However, I cannot update the firmware myself. An alternative solution is to go into the settings and use the "Auto-Scan" function. I can confirm that disabling the monitor now allows it to sleep and wake up as expected. However, when I switch to my Mac, which is also connected via HDMI, I now have to manually tell the monitor to switch to the HDMI port. I put up with it and am still happy with the monitor because I had no glare on the first try and it seems difficult to deal with monitors and lottery panels these days but with this monitor it's annoying.
