Not worth the money

Well Revain has requested a review of this product and I must say I am not happy and fortunately have quick reflexes. Because I may have injured myself while using this product. I put the first strap on a knife sharpener. The way it came in the package loaded it with compound which was sent to me along with the straps, when I used the leather strap it broke immediately. I jumped back just in time, and luckily my hands weren't far from the blade of the knife I was fingering. Thinking it was user error I loaded a second one, but this time I set the car to the lowest possible speed and used mineral oil on the second strip. Leather conditioning uses a small drop which is more than enough to soften the leather, give it a little bit of softness but not stress it heavily with the compound and at a lower bearing speed for re-stripping. same knife and it happened again, the belt broke in half, since I did it in the order of four of them I couldn't solve the problem completely, there was no tear in the skin that I could see, so must I say that the skin may not have been of good quality. And yes, I stepped aside in time before I got shrapnel in my face. So when someone orders this product, be very careful and use it, and you don't need much force or power when using the belt or any belt in general. I have to say that I am not satisfied with my purchase.

Pros
  • 2 leather straps included, one for each connection. A set of 2 3/4x12 leather straps is our best value with the same great quality as Ken Onion's 3/4x12 leather straps and the same great warranty. 100% quality guarantee! The white cutting paste is slightly more abrasive and removes small burrs and enhances the edge. Green Polishing Compound provides a mirror finish and truly professional results.
Cons
