Worst redesign Kenmore has ever done to save money.

Every time I use this thing I tell myself I will come back to Revain and write a bad review. Today is the day. The ONLY good thing about this vacuum is that it sucks and vacuums with great power. Everything else about it is terrible. The "handy" stupid way of plugging in a floor nozzle on the go works about 30% of the time. The hose exits the canister vertically, making the creature unwilling to follow you. Instead, it turns on its side when you pull it. The tubular part is made from thin aluminum and reinforced with plastic instead of the chromed metal you might be used to. That means you have huge bulky ports for your tools. They are really big too. Have you always loved being able to store your vacuum cleaner between the fridge and cupboards? Forget it! There is no way to reset the suction as usual. No, you slow the motor down with a slide switch instead, so you can bet you're still sucking and stuck on those bathroom rugs! As a bonus, it's located right where you keep rubbing it when you don't want it. You cannot leave the vacuum standing upright like ALL Kenmore models. No, either the hose is too heavy or the friction in the joint is too low. Falls to the ground every time. You have to do something to counter that. The steering knuckle, which was always rotated 180 degrees, is now NOT rotating. 100 degrees likely. I lost the ability to wheel the vacuum under the bottom shelf in the linen closet, turn the handle, and close the door. I've been doing this since 1994. The tube to ankle connection is huge. If you (manually because you were frustrated) attached a floor tool to it, it hits everything. I used to be able to slip a floor nozzle gracefully behind cat bowls and a wall. Now a giant plastic monster is banging on the dishes, spilling food and water. If you try to get your toe under your closets, you're now scraping the bottom of all the closet doors as you step forward. Overall, this is the worst experience I've had with a canister vacuum in my life. There is so much bad engineering in this thing that it makes an already mundane task downright disgusting.
