Paper is so-so. I've tried using it to polish knife blades but couldn't keep even the finest sandpaper from swirl marks. Part of this I think is due to the fact that the whole system is unsuitable for use on a grinder. It may be better suited for slow speed drilling. Also, the foam pads began to tear in the center after a short while on a 90 degree reduced pressure air motor. The foam pad also seemed to "grow" as I rotated it and I think that made it easier for the sandpaper to grab an edge where I didn't want it and then it broke. I may try to use it on an old slow drill someday, but I'm using something else now.
