My waist is 32 so I ordered size 32. However, they seem to be better suited for people around 34 years of age. So I bought 30 and they fit perfectly. They seem warm but I haven't tried them in cold weather yet. These pants are comfortable to wear. The main issue I have is that they advertise everywhere that they are waterproof which is very disappointing. That's definitely not true. Rather waterproof. Water repels them, but in heavy rain water seeps into the fleece underneath. So maybe they work in a drizzle or light rain, but if you wear them on a very rainy day you might be disappointed.
