Yes, the R500 filters and side brushes are perfect for the R500+.

I find the best way to clean them is to vacuum from the back while using a large floor cleaner with additional tools to pull the dirt back out of the filter. I also scrub the foam filter on the back with my brush on my large canister vacuum. I actually do this after every use. This takes about 5 minutes. R500 main brush roll does NOT fit R500+.
