Review on Blum 971A9700 22X10 BLUMOTION Cabinet Polybag by Kenny Marozas

I ordered one of several hinge adapters and this was the best in my testing, mainly because of the gasket. Without a seal, the latch mechanism can apply unnecessary pressure very close to the hinge, causing the door to close unevenly. Adding some free space helps. The rounded tip of the end making contact with the case is also a nice touch compared to other brands as it allows for a smoother closure. With other brands, you can tell when the cabinet hits the "spring" as the speed changes dramatically. With blumotion, there is a gentle transition to slower closing. In my opinion, the looks of these were preferred more than other brands. It looks more like something you should have in your closet, while other brands (although they might look better in pictures) look like something you've added to your closet if you get my meaning. . IE: They don't look like original hardware. Of course, every wardrobe is different, but my house looks pretty traditional (video attached). Your regulation is excellent. The other two brands I've used initially seemed easier to adjust (both had set screws on the back of the mechanism, but ultimately required MAXIMUM hard adjustments for some of the large pantry doors in my kitchen, and they still couldn't handle their weight). The only criticism of them is the horizontal screw alignment. This makes screwing into the body more difficult as most drill/screwdrivers require more than a few inches of clearance. Other brands I've tried screw in diagonally for easy installation. However, the overall quality of this product makes this small flaw acceptable and adds to its 'original' appearance in my opinion. If you are looking for a soft close refit these are the best. You will NOT want to remove one of the smaller brands from your closet to install as it may not fit, BUT the 2" screw definitely holds them in place well compared to other brands that use much shorter screws use, but don't end up holding them in place that well and tremble noticeably when the doors close.
