This is a scented deodorant and I was afraid it would be too overpowering or a scent I wouldn't like. I normally CANNOT stand smells and my cats feel the same way. But this one is really good. The aroma doesn't overpower. And odor isn't the only ingredient blocking urine and feces. I expect the bulk of the ingredients to be baking soda, which is a mild but powerful order killer. Not to mention the non-toxicity. No matter how good a product is, if it's not safe and non-toxic I won't use it. And as an added bonus (and very important to me) this product prevents dirt from sticking to the wall. Garbage can. I use a light filler and it clumps really well. But it also sticks to the plastic walls of the tub like concrete. I bought a very strong metal dustpan and felt like Hercules as I struggled against the debris clinging to the wall. NOW none of that. The deodorant does not neutralize the filler's ability to clump at all. It just makes it MUCH easier to remove clumps from the sides of the tray. I am very satisfied with the performance of this product. I have two cats, one a very large Maine Coon mix and the other a tiny Calico, and both are perfectly comfortable with this deodorant. So we have two happy cats and one happy cat owner. And I'll add one more thing. If you don't clean your litter box EVERY DAY, it might be worth considering. Imagine going to the toilet for several days without flushing. DISCOVER! I also plug in a plug for a drinking fountain for your cats. They like it, they drink more and become much healthier as a result.
