Review on KREG KMA3200 Shelf Pin Drilling by Andrew Davenport

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great for storing power tools and hand tools

I used one of these to drill holes to support shelves in two shelves. All holes lined up perfectly, the shelf didn't dangle. I only used one jig. The second mount easily attaches to the first with the included hardware, but the ease of moving the mount from one section to another makes me wonder why I bother with a second mount that only makes the mount bigger and more cumbersome handle power? Some users have rightly pointed out that care must be taken to ensure that the first hole in each row is the same distance from the bottom of the board. I did this with a melamine chalkboard line which was easy to erase afterwards; With other products like natural wood, you can mark the height of the first hole in some other way that won't look ugly when you're done. It should be thick enough to be visible at the bottom of the mounting hole. I've only used the jig for one project but I think it will last many more times due to the steel inserts in the holes. The drilling and dowel pins are stored in the base. I'm very glad I used this device and would recommend it to others.
