I bought them for metalworking, grinding and cutting. Ordinary work gloves last about a week before the sparks from the grinder melt the thread on your thumb and forefinger. Bought these for Kevlar thread and they are BIG. After a month the threads are still intact and I have no problem manipulating tools when measuring and marking. The most comfortable work gloves I've ever owned. However, I cut off the velcro as soon as I received it. I do the same with Mechanix gloves. I don't know why glove manufacturers think this is a good idea. I don't have time to mess with the velcro every time I put my gloves on or off. I'm not taking any stars off for this as it was easy enough to work with and I knew it when I ordered it.
