Review on ๐Ÿ”ช SHARPAL 119N Diamond Knife Blade Sharpener (1200 grit) for Professional Chefs - Kitchen Sharpening Stick Rod, Honing Steel (Diamond Coated, 10 Inch) by Clint Mcloven

Revainrating 5 out of 5

PERFECT ! --- Would I buy again.

Great price - would buy again. (Or give one away.) In the past I've always used an EZE-LAP round diamond sharpener. But they cost $45. Ouch! I recently bought a Sharpal ($20) and see no difference in how they sharpen a knife. The only differences are: EZE-Lap is a diamond coated aluminum shank while Sharpal uses a diamond coated steel shank. The Sharpal is 1200 grit, while the EZE-Lap is around 600 grit. The length of the slide rails is about the same. And they both sharpen my knives equally well. How long does Sharpal last? I have no idea. But so far it looks like it could last as long as my EZE round. If I have to change this rating I will do so after a few months of use.

Pros
  • Don't waste too much time
Cons
  • Lots of stuff
