Foam was surprisingly comfortable for me to lie on, but at 55 I wouldn't want to sleep on it regularly. Ideal for children, albeit temporary sleeping situations. The position of the chair should be against the wall or on the frame, otherwise it will fall down when you sit on it. However, my biggest concern is the strength/durability of the accordion fold seams. They seem very prone to cracking, especially with bulky mattresses (I have a queen) in heavier sizes. Probably fine if you don't move much. The twin size may not have this problem due to its light weight, but note that the stitching around the edges of the pleats is very thin. I would have bought it for $50 but not for $150. (Price has decreased since purchase). Much luck!
