Review on ASRock Authorized RX 6900 16G by Stanisaw Pirkowski ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Perfect purchase for me, exactly what I was looking for!

The card has a consumption of 6800xt, but is more powerful in games. It has 3 connectors for 8pin 12v, which makes it possible to work at a frequency of 2500 + MHz on the chip. Any games in the resolution of 3440*1440 pull without straining. Cooling is powerful - a huge radiator and 3 coolers. Weight 1734 gr. With such a weight, it was dumb to hang, but the card has a rigid metal frame along the textolite, so the card does not sag at all. The frame is attached to the back of the system unit with screws, and the load goes there. The core temperature does not rise above 75 even during overclocking (factory) and operation at a frequency of 2500 MHz +. Moreover, the coolers do not spin at Max speed. You can put more speed - it will be even colder. The maximum point along the core is usually about 10 degrees greater than the average point over the core. It seems to be normal and it should be. The backplate is made of metal and there are thermal pads between it and the board (consider it also removes heat). There are thermal pads on memory chips, power supply modules (between them and the main heatsink). Purely for mining, it is better to take a regular 6800 - the hashrate on the air will be the same. For games, this card is beyond competition in the camp of the reds. 3090 now costs 2 times more expensive, and FPS is about +/- the same, but also much hotter and more gluttonous. It still emits a lot of heat, it is better to have a ventilated case. All settings for frequencies / screws / voltages are in native wood. At a temperature of 50 on the core, the winders stop completely. Plus, you can add your own backlight to the map (who needs it) and it will work together with the backlight of the map. There is a toggle switch that generally cuts out the backlight. Basically a great card. We can say that there are no cons, there are nuances that will be parallel to most. Supplied in a box that is not sealed. There are seals on the card itself. The dimensions of the card are large - almost 3 slots in thickness and somewhere around 33 cm in length - it won't fit into any case (I entered my Fractal design define 6 easily). Only the central cooler is lit + a strip on the side. Behind 3 dp and 1 hdmi. Pretty quiet.

Pros
  • The price is not much different from the younger AMD models and much cheaper than Nvidia Top card from amd at the moment Factory overclock Powerful cooling system Reinforcement plate in the frame of the card, preventing it from sagging and bending Pretty cold and energy efficient against the background of analogues from green Powerful and not noisy
Cons
  • Price in connection with the mining boom Warranty 2 years, not 3 There is no type-C output (although I don’t need it, it may come in handy for someone. It is on the reference) Ethereum hashrate at 6800, which is cheaper No second bios Memory does not chase more than +140 (firewood level limit) - important for ether miners
