When I bought my 60 inch Samsung I was a bit concerned about how wobbly the base seemed to be. It's just a little light. Works great most days but in California I wanted a little more protection! Those cable blocks were the ticket. Easy to install, and when set up correctly, they look like they'll keep your TV from shaking during an earthquake. And they give me confidence that this thing won't fall on anyone. They have a slightly strong "creosote" odor. But I left them outside for a few days (as one reviewer noted) and after that they were fine, and after a few days inside the smell was gone. completely gone Very happy with them!
