Nice to have a decorative pen tray disguised as a grass cup. I'm good at killing real plants, so I'm a fan of artificial plants that look good. It holds 4 to 6 pens/pencils perfectly (lighter bics take better care than heavy deluxe fountain pens). I can't remember if I thought it was bigger or if I just really liked it and *wish* it was bigger. From the bottom to the tips of the (fake) blades of grass, it's about the size of a Dannon yogurt container (US standard). about 4 inches tall. The base is weighted to keep it from tipping over.
