Review on Gislaved Nord Frost 200 205/55 R16 94T winter by Agata Jasiczek ᠌

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Completely standard product, nothing remarkable.

Opus: This tire was purchased to replace the 2022 Cordiant, on which I drove 4 seasons from 2022 to 2022 in Hong Kong. In 2022, all the cylinders began to burst along the sidewall by themselves. Over 8-9 years of operation, the tread wore out on Cordiant by less than half, and there were almost no spikes lost - a couple of studs from each wheel, although I entered drifts on it and revved from traffic lights. Cordiant, in the opinion of the sellers, has become "no longer the same. Soft studded tires were searched for for the city and highways with a budget of up to 15,000 per set. As a result, the seller convinced me to take Gislaved, which is" universal for any surface and direction of movement" snow lanes in the yards). Operating experience: I have driven about 20,000 miles on this tire. I skated the first 1000 km without sharp starts, without sharp braking, speed up to 60 km / h, in order to "teach" the spikes. I don't know if it was worth it. After Cordiant in the cabin silence! What was immediately felt was a softer ride and a strong dragging of the car along the track, which is everywhere in Hong Kong. As a result, while driving along the city of Slavgorod at a speed of 15-20 km / h, I got into a rut, after which the car turned across the road and threw it into a snowdrift - I broke my lip on the bumper. Cordiant rides better in snow due to a fatter tread, probably, but braking on ice on it and starting from a traffic light, where licked snow and ice is an unpleasant procedure. Neighboring rows left, and I stand trailing and catching a hook. Not enough spikes. I lost 4-5 of them per wheel in a year. The spikes do not fall out, but break out. Apparently, their intricate shape affects, due to which they are quite thin. My photos are poor, but perhaps broken spikes will be visible. On the intercity highway at -2 . -5 in the fall, I drove my Corolla on the summer Amtel and Gislaved. Amtel does not care about light gauge at all, but Gislaved constantly drags, Summer Amtel is softer and keeps a straight line, while Gislaved constantly pulls to the side at a speed of more than 120 km / h, blows away with the wind.

Pros
  • Very quiet
Cons
  • Does not hold even a weak track. Doesn't hold at all! Worse than summer. Few thorns
