Voltage dips and swells measured with an oscilloscope showed very little improvement. Thus, the capacitance of the element was checked in farads, where 1 farad = 1 volt changes in 1 second with a limited current of 1 ampere. The cell is expected to take 100 full seconds to charge from 0 volts to 10 volts at 1 amp. Where the capacitor is 10 farads x 10 volts = 100 seconds at 1 amp to charge. This "10 Farad" capacitor took only 5 seconds to charge to 10 volts. My 1994 1 farad stinger capacitor still had 1 farad capacitance after all the years taking 10 seconds in the same test.
