I have 300 (6 strings of 50 bulbs) 12v versions in my tree. I started with an Arduino Yun which worked great, but now I control the string using the Raspi 3B/NeoPixel library in Python. I get 30 to 60 fps through 300 lights. Typical power draw for my templates is 1.5A to 4A, but pushing them all the way to full white exceeds my current budget of 8.4A - thankfully too bright for my tree. Power supply, could I increase it. I was surprised that they work well with the 3.3V logic level data coming from the PCM pin on my Raspi.
