I am mixed. Of course, it's a bit flimsy, lacks instructions, and has a few annoying bugs. And it's not cheap enough to make up for that. But on the other hand, it's actually quite nicely designed and built. You just have to take the time and care. Almost worth the price. During installation, I almost immediately stripped the threads (between the connector and the barrel) as I hand-tightened it. As expected, it only got worse with repeated attempts. I wanted to use this for 110v so I was worried it would be unsafe, since pulling on the plug would expose live wires. Until I realized that I need to tighten the nut over the threads to expose some more threads for extra grip. Perhaps a veteran wouldn't have made such a mistake, but a few simple instructions might help. That and the fact that I was able to damage the threads with light pressure out of the box is just...disappointing. In addition, the rest of the design is quite pleasant and the build quality is . actually pretty good. It's not suited for fighter jets or medical scanners, but it's definitely not junk and it's more than reliable enough for what most people will throw at it. A little weak in some places (end cap screws) but not there, where it really matters for safety or performance. Very easy to solder, many other nice touches when installing. No crimping tool! And it looks like this keeps most of the weather-related dust and water out. (I wouldn't soak it, but it looks like it might actually work.) The connection is held fairly firmly without the use of a screw, which is great for easy one-handed removal. And it's light and compact. These factors were important to my use. I will probably not buy again: mainly because of the price. But I would be _tempted_ to. Eight dollars is not much 😏 And it looks like this keeps most of the weather-related dust and water out.
