I'm an intense Gain users for decades. I used the powder mainly because it doesn't get sticky in the cup like it does with liquid and I didn't have a sink like I do now. I had to stop because I'm angry with the inflation and it no longer dissolves at all temperature settings like it used to. I've looked for other brands and even made my own using Zote. Nothing has fascinated me like Gane. I wash every day, sometimes twice. This is no ordinary wash as I have 4 senior dogs with health issues. Judge if you will, but they have accidents at night because their bladders aren't what they used to be, so we're fixing that with reusable giant absorbent pads that we've also used on puppies. I wash my pee-soaked pads every day. At Gain I could smell urine in the laundry, since it was washed warm it was so disgusting. Even with bleach I could smell it. Half a cup of this detergent and no odors, just pure scent. It also works great on light colored fecal stains on pads - no bleach! i'm just shocked For normal human soil - excellent! My boyfriend works in TV and has to put on makeup every day and I'm the girl who goes to bed with makeup on because I'm too lazy. It removes makeup well, but we recommend pre-treating for full effect. There are just some things that you can't expect a one-size-fits-all solution for, but it complements the solutions we have for more complex things! The pump is also great when used properly. Anyone who called the pump inadequate probably installed it incorrectly. Go to YouTube and see how it's done if you're not sure.
