I ordered these because of the palm glides which seem very effective in preventing wrist sprains and fractures in low speed accidents. These gloves are a good start, but they require a bit of work. The seating is very spacious. Boxy is a good term, they suit you well if you have hands like Andre the Giant or maybe Shrek. A luxury item reserved only for the most expensive gloves, the palm sliders are made of TPR. Soft rubber easily sticks to the pavement instead of slipping and doesn't prevent the aforementioned sprains or tears that are so common in motorcycle accidents. It's not the worst choice of material, but I would have preferred the harder plastic seen on more expensive brands. Overall, these gloves are definitely built for the price. Thankfully, that price is low, but these aren't the best or most well-designed gloves you'll ever buy. With some modifications and redesigns they will be fine and should perhaps be replaced by a more reputable manufacturer but as they sit now they will sit around while I wear my regular gloves.
