Japanese Full Tang Stainless Steel Bread Knife 8 inch Serrated Damascus AUS-10 Pakkawood Handle

I love a nice knife for my culinary needs. This is an excellent 8 inch serrated bread knife, made from AUS-10 (SS) Japanese Damascus stainless steel which is multi-layered to create a thin blade with a hard edge. It has a strong and balanced Pakkawood handle. It uses a full stock design. The blade of the knife has been hardened to a Rockwell hardness of 61. That's a pretty high value. With high-quality AUS-10 steel and a special forging process, the Rockwell hardness reaches 61 HRC. Typically, premium steels have a hardness in the 59-64 Rockwell range, which allows the knife to be sharpened, remains flexible but not brittle, and also holds the edge well for longevity. However, it is almost impossible to sharpen serrated knives at home. Edge retention should be excellent. The illustrations of the knives (pages 2 and 3 outside, page 4 close-up) underline the excellent pattern of the real damask type. Some newer knives I've seen use a "simulated" damascus pattern that's burned or laser etched into the steel. I avoid that. It uses real laminated Damascus steel with 67 layers of high quality AUS-10 stainless steel. This allows the blade to be thinner with excellent strength and retain some flexibility. The blade is very sharp, the knife offers a comfortable Chef's Pinch grip, the balance is excellent, as is value for money. I recommend this brand JACO MASTER 8" Damascus Serrated Bread Knife - 67 Layers Japanese Damascus Forged Blade AUS-10 Super Steel Core - Full Tang Pakkawood Ergonomic Handle - Edge Cake Knife - Ultra Sharp Bread Slicing Knife, Gift Box Really great cutlery to use in my kitchen and to display as it looks as good as it cuts! I hope you found the information and my review helpful.
