Review on ๐Ÿ“ท Canon 3086C002 BG-E22 Battery Grip - Black, Full-Size: A Powerful Accessory for Enhanced Camera Performance by Brad Lovro

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Must be for some people.

I always buy a battery pack for my SLR cameras and the R is no exception. The price has come down significantly since it was originally around $450, which is crazy, even with a USB-C charger. Anyway, the price is right now and the grip is *a bit* big, but that suits me. Everything is very solid. They've improved the way it attaches to the camera compared to the 6D grip I used, but no longer include (or offer) an AA battery compartment. Either way, if you're not comfortable without a handle, it's worth it. I would just buy an additional Canon OEM battery as it is not known if the USB-C charger will charge aftermarket batteries. 2 Canon batteries should get you shooting all day, but it's cheaper to have a few extra batteries in your bag just in case.

Pros
  • Includes quick control and main dial for convenient horizontal and vertical shooting. EOS R RF 24-105mm F4 L USM Kit EOS R Body
Cons
