It's expensive. But I wish I had bought this one from the start instead of wasting money on some other sharpeners that were difficult to use or broke after a short while. Blades are interchangeable. All of this is made of solid wood and metal so it will last a long time. It's the perfect size and shape for little hands (and grown-up hands too). My 8 and 6 year olds can sharpen unaided and my 2 year old is actually very good at it! It catches the chips so you can easily carry it in your backpack or in the car! Love it. Worth every penny.
