Review on SinLoon 2.5 to 3.5 IDE Adapter - 44 Pin Laptop Hard Disk Drive to 40 Pin Desktop PATA Converter Card (IDE 2.5 to 3.5) by Jay Chowdhury

I'm trying to use an mSATA drive that I'm putting in an IDE enclosure for use in an older Power Macintosh, so that's what I got. For testing, I'm using a Macally Firewire case with a 40-pin internal IDE interface. The hard drive works, but unfortunately the adapter does not. There are two lights; red power indicator and green activity indicator. The red light is on when power is applied, the green light is on briefly (2 seconds) and never comes on again. Since then I've tested in multiple scenarios and it just doesn't work. I also find the build quality a bit dodgy, not as solid as it should be for something like this. In general I will try to return or exchange.
