Alwayslux EasyLint Professional Sweater Shaver PROS AND CONS: - AC power (included). this is for the AC powered variant) for removing lint. - It comes with an extra set of blades (so you get 2 in total, one to use and one extra) - Comes with a small brush if you want to use it to brush lint off the blades - The case is really good and leaves easy to store or transport. - He works, he cuts. CONS: - It cuts BUT feels flimsy. It feels like it's cutting, but not very close. I'm not sure if the problem is with the power supply and/or holes. I think if the holes were bigger she could cut better and faster. - Price - I bought the Alwayslux razor for $33.99 (discounted), the original price is $79.99. NO WAY was it worth $80 or even $33.99. Based on the performance I'd say it's closer to $20 if it could cut better/closer/faster. It costs $33.99. But if you don't know of any other AC powered shaver that is better, then this is a good option. Or if you can find a non-AC shaver and don't mind buying batteries. Then AlwaysLux is still a good option. Brief history (how I tested the lint razor): A family member recently gave me a lint razor as a gift. The razor they gave me is old. They don't sell it anymore (unless you can find it on ebay). (it's the silver color in the photos I post). I really liked the Brookstone lint razor, it cuts very well and fast but uses C batteries and is not AC powered. That means I'll eventually have to buy new batteries. (I don't want to keep buying new batteries). So I searched Amazon for a corded lint razor. That's how I came across this "Professional Alwayslux EasyLint Sweater Shaver". So I bought her. So I compare the Alwayslux EasyLint Professional Sweater Razor to Brookstone. First, photos say a lot. shaved this blue t-shirt (one side) with "Alwayslux EasyLint Professional Sweater Shaver". PROS AND CONS Brookstone vs Alwayslux EasyLint Lint Shaver (although they no longer sell it) PROS: - It seems to cut better and faster (I can hear and feel even the motor sounds better) - Easy to open and clean - Big size - Holes to cut more. AlwaysLux only has large holes in the outer circle, while Brookestone has a higher percentage of large holes (so I'm guessing it eats more lint faster and easier) - I believe (not sure) that Brookestone has 2 cutting planes, for closer and not such tight chips. The AlwaysLux doesn't actually have that, but I think if you don't unscrew the AlwaysLux cap all the way, but loosen it a bit, it won't cut as tight. But AlwaysLux already cuts so well, so I wouldn't bother. CONS: The AlwaysLux razor is easier to open to clean and replace the blades. Just twist the blade cover. Brookstone is more difficult, I have to open the lid with a flat head screwdriver. - NO AC option, runs on type C batteries. - VERY small lint chamber. You have to empty it much sooner than the AlwaysLUX lint razor. SUMMARY: The Alwayslux EasyLint Professional Sweater Shaver works. it cuts But I feel like it takes longer to cut, and I still feel like going over the same item with a hand stone to finish the job and remove more lint. THINK ABOUT IT. Brookstone, using ONLY TWO C batteries, outperforms the AC-powered AlwaysLux lint shaver. This is madness. IF I DID NOT HAVE A BROOKSTONE LINT. I would be blown away by the AlwaysLux Lint Razor. Because I have no comparison. So now I'm conflicted because: - I really love the Brookstone nap razor BUT if I need to change the blades I don't know where to get them. Not sure if I can use random spare blades with it (haven't tried it yet) - I don't want to keep buying spare batteries. (Maybe rechargeable Type-C batteries would help?) The only reason I would leave the Alwayslux EasyLint Professional Sweater Razor is because of the AC power cord (unlimited power) and the ability to easily purchase new compatible blades via Amazon to buy (so it lasts a long time). longer) and cut decently enough.
