Review on 🪚 Metabo HPT SB8V2 Variable Speed 21 Inch Belt Sander by Quinton Wonsley

Pros I like the overall weight and design for many uses. Heavy and weighs enough not to bounce but not too much if you have good access to the grinding surface. where you have a bad working angle. Very wide and uses 3x21 straps which has become my favorite size over the years. The two devices received as "new" appear to have been used or will be returned. Debris on the belt drive and idler wheels and scratches on the belt plate. Debris on the drive pulley appears to be due to metal rubbing against the front freewheel as the belt passed around both during use. The packaging inside is very loose and the packaging materials didn't stay in place in any of the blocks. There's even an empty plastic bag that simply drapes over BOTH devices. The box doesn't appear to have been opened before, but the bag doesn't seem to make any sense unless it should include a quick start guide. It is not clear if these are new, refurbished, returns or something else. These aren't heavily used demo units, but I can't identify the source of use in what's being sold as 'new' box.
