Review on F2 MAG Trainer By Forza by Troy Jennings

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Easy setup, have a good trip.

I have been using this machine for about 3 months in a third floor apartment. Complaints from my downstairs neighbors that they are concerned to make the vibration. Since then I have 4 foam mats that are used in gyms. I bought mine from Dicks Sporting Goods for about $15. I put 2 under the front and 2 under the back. This has helped reduce the vibration dampening enough to not bother my neighbors anymore. The trainer is exactly as pictured with a nice white/orange color scheme.I was afraid I would damage the quick release lever that was on my frame before I put the assembled bike on a luggage rack so I switched to the included arm, I found the included arm gave the bike a little more support as it was a little better i n engaged the trainer mounts. It will begin to force the machine frame out of its normal shape and flex the attachment points outward if overtightened. I find once there is a little resistance it's best to loosen it about 1/4 turn and then tighten. This method has given me the best results for both mountain biking and road cycling. I bought a Forza bike rack, without it I found the slight incline and grip very annoying and distracting from my workout. When using my mountain bike, the trainer was much louder than on my road bike. Tires make a big difference in audible noise. Also, maintaining proper tire pressure for slicks is essential for good ride and durability. Even with studded tires, I can hear my TV at medium volume. This is a good low noise trainer and ideal for apartments if something is used between the trainer and the floor that can absorb vibration.

Pros
  • Fits most 700C and 26" road bikes with quick release. Will not fit 29" wheels.
Cons
