The third version offers several significant improvements over Floatride Forever Energy I and II. Like a "fast run pattern" this pattern is incredibly grippy on all surfaces. The upper is a synthetic material that feels more tear-resistant than the first version, while still being breathable. There is a slippery coating on the tongue that makes lacing and unlacing (sort of) easier. Finally, the midsole foam in the third version feels a bit softer than in I and II. This could be due to the newer shape (I and II have a very similar midsole foam) or just the feel. Either way, this men's size 10.5 shoe still weighs about 9.5 ounces and has a good lockdown feel when laced tight. Suitable for long runs or intense days. Pay attention to the size of the shoes. My shoe size is usually a large 10.5 or a small 11 depending on the brand. 10.5 fits perfectly.
