Review on 🐱 Nutro Wholesome Essentials Indoor and Sensitive Digestion Dry Cat Food with Chicken: Optimal Nutrition for Indoor Cats by Eric Cortes

My cats have been fed NUTRO Max pet food their whole life. I have two men - 16 years old and 8 years old. As noted here, it was a disappointment when NUTRO discontinued the Max formula a few months ago. The Wholesome Essentials was an alternative. The ingredients seem ok. The smell is strange, almost sour. My cats have been eating this for 5 months. They both vomit after eating (not always) but I figured it was because they eat and run fast. Last week, an 8-year-old child stopped eating completely, stopped drinking water and vomited twice a day. After spending $1,000 at the vet to find out what was going on and with no clear reason for the illness, the vet suggested a dose of anti-nausea medication and told me to switch to a different brand of food. I switched to Blue Buffalo. My cats seem to like the smaller kernels and seem to like this brand. I taste tested them and put NUTRO in one bowl and Blue Buffalo in another. They went on to Blue Buffalo. I'm afraid to give them NUTRO again. My cat was on the brink of death last week and it was a terrifying experience for all of us.
