I have a small head so yes. It fits well. The material is very heavy. Wearing it as a bucket hat will give you the best results. That's how I wanted to wear it, and luckily I can wear it that way. You can close your ears if necessary. I live in Texas so I can't wear hats that long because of the heat. It's okay if this product doesn't stay in good condition (the price is good enough that I can just buy another one next winter). However, I have no problem with it being poorly made as some reviews say.
