I bought this vacuum to replace a Dyson DC50 which was a disappointment. For the money, Dyson had terrible build quality, mediocre suction and outright lies in the brochure (a vacuum that claims to have "zero filtersโ has two of them that actually clog, further reducing the mediocre suction). Miele has a long history of making some of the best vacuum cleaners available, although they only come in bag models. I have three dogs so dirt and hair accumulates quickly and if I were to use a bagged vacuum I would burn through the bag every three days - the costs add up quickly. Now that Miele has added a bagless vacuum to its range, I decided enough is enough, threw the Dyson in the scrap heap and spent way more than I was willing to get the lowest-priced electric vacuum. (the only models that can use the motorized nozzle). I'm VERY glad I did. The Miele has four times the tank volume of the Dyson, much stronger suction (even after thoroughly cleaning the Dyson inside and out), moves a lot more air, runs an order of magnitude quieter and has a magic wand to reach it with. low spots and tight spaces (the Dyson just tips over due to the hose routing and the wand is two feet of rigid tubing). Emptying the canister is a lot less messy too, as fine particles are sucked past the main canister into a fine particle trap, which can be simply flushed out to prevent dust from becoming airborne again (a big problem with all Dyson vacuums). cleaners). So far, Miele has kept up with my needs with just a simple canister emptying and particulate filter flush. The only downside to this vacuum cleaner is the extremely high price for what you get and if you want to add accessories it gets really expensive too. This is not surprising, since most German products have a price premium (regardless of whether they are really premium or not), but it is in the wallet. That price will even out over time, especially with the 7 year full motor warranty, but the initial price really bites. However, I can't say it wasn't worth the price for my needs, your mileage may vary. A five star product at a three star price. If they ever drop in price a bit or if there is some kind of discount in store I would strongly recommend buying them. If you don't need a powered nozzle be sure to check out one of the models below as they are a lot cheaper. Also, as a word of warning, the Cat & Dog model is a real rip-off: the Cat & Dog model is exactly the same vacuum cleaner as the Electro+, but in white and comes with just one extra accessory. - Mini-Brush The price difference between the two vacuums is a solid $100, but the Mini-Brush has an MSRP of $75, meaning you'll enjoy the MSRP of $25 or even more if you buy it from resellers , as it usually sells for less than $60. If you need an electric brush head, please purchase the Electro+ model and the mini brush separately. Avoid the cat and dog model.
