This is my first Estwing air tool. I tested the nailer with a 150 psi Porter Cable Pancake Compressor. inches per 6 gallons. The hand nailer is rated for 80-100 psi and drives 2-4 inch nails. My testing was done at 90 psi using widely used construction nails of various sizes from 3-1/2" to 1". I've heard complaints about the size of the impact area and the hand nailer getting stuck when driving a nail. If you press too hard, the nailer will stop. All you have to do is don't press so hard and let the tool do its job. If you step back a little, the tool works fine. Face size may seem a bit small, but nailers are not designed to drive finishing nails. People have complained about the nail heads going past the impact surface and getting stuck. I don't know of any carpenter who hammers in finished nails with a nailer. All the round head nails I hammered went in with no problem. The drive depth works well too. It is easily adjustable from left to right. Sure I could have bought Senco or Bostitch for the same price, but I wanted to try something new and this little nail gun works just fine. More field trials later.
